San Luis voted for fairness, access, and a local government that reflects the people who live here. We are proud to have worked alongside our community to inform voters about the realities of serving in public office and what true representation requires. Every day, our lives are shaped by local decisions, and today, we are hopeful. Together, we will continue building the San Luis we deserve, where everyone has a voice and a path to leadership.
This result keeps public service open to everyday residents, not only for those who can afford to serve without pay. This victory belongs to the voters who showed up, stayed informed, and stood firm for democracy and community representation.
This victory is not the end. It is the beginning.
It is time to continue shaping the local government we want to see in our community, and continuing to hold our city leaders accountable. This means showing up at council meetings, board meetings, and in community spaces, and staying engaged in the decisions that impact our daily lives. This work only happens together, powered by community members, volunteers, and the young leaders who call San Luis home.
Our work does not end at the ballot box. It continues through organizing, participation, and reflection. It continues when someone in our community asks themselves, “Could I be the next leader my city needs?”
And if advocating for more youth investment and resources is part of building that future, we will be right there every step of the way.
